My story

Presley is at that exact age where everything is a game, a question, or a personal experiment—and he’s running through all three with enthusiasm. At 7 months old and 40 pounds, Presley is equal parts sweet, sharp, and very much a teenager. He’s the kind of dog who is going to test the boundaries just to see what happens next. Not in a “problem dog” way—in a “someone please give me a job because I’m too smart to sit still” kind of way.The flip side? When you meet him there—when you engage him, redirect him, and give him something appropriate to focus on—he absolutely shines. He’s quick to learn, eager to interact, and the kind of dog who is going to thrive with structure, consistency, and someone who actually enjoys working with their dog.Presley could likely live with another dog with the right match. He has also been cat tested and may be able to live with cats with proper introductions and supervision while he learns that chasing isn’t part of the deal.Because he’s still young, active, and not always aware of where all four feet are going, Presley would do best in a home with children 13 and older who can participate in his routine and understand how to interact with an energetic adolescent dog. This is not a “set it and forget it” kind of dog. Presley is for someone who wants to be involved—who wants the training, the engagement, the payoff of watching a really bright young dog grow into something exceptional. If you are interested, please give us a call at 716-731-4368, extension 0.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Presley, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
