My story

Marcela’s story is one that breaks your heart and then puts it back together again. This beautiful girl was left behind after her owner passed away. Instead of comfort and security, Marcela found herself abandoned by the only family she knew. Alone, hungry, and confused, she was picked up by animal control and spent an entire month in a loud, overwhelming shelter. And then… her time was up. Marcela was placed on the euthanasia list. But we saw her. And we couldn’t let her story end there. Today, Marcela is safe and she is nothing short of amazing. About Marcela 1 year old 50 pounds German Shepherd mix Sweet, resilient, and incredibly loving Despite everything she has been through, Marcela’s spirit is gentle and kind. She is affectionate, loyal, and so ready to bond deeply with her person. She has that classic shepherd intelligence attentive, eager to learn, and tuned in to her humans. She doesn’t carry bitterness. She carries hope. Marcela deserves stability. She deserves warmth. She deserves a family who will never leave her behind again.
