My story

Meet Melvin, your new favorite little shadow. At about 12 years young and 13 pounds of pure sweetness, this dachshund mix has perfected the art of cozy. His hobbies include: burrowing under blankets like a tiny baked potato, following you from room to room just to make sure you’re okay, and supervising life from the comfiest spot in the house. Melvin is the definition of easy. He’s potty trained, crate trained, does stairs independently, and gets along beautifully with everyone, big dogs, small dogs, and cats. He’s happiest snuggled up next to you or tucked beside another dog for warmth. He enjoys long, thoughtful sniffs in the yard and car rides with heated seats. Melvin is a gentleman with refined taste looking for a soft place to land and someone to love him in his golden years. Melvin is fully vetted including senior bloodwork, neuter, dental cleaning, microchip, heartworm/flea/tick prevention and dewormer. He is being fostered in Knoxville, TN and his adoption fee is $150. Melvin does have a grade 5 heart murmur which is being controlled by daily oral medication.
