My story

Miss Penny was found in a neighbor's garden, starving and not in good shape. Took her to the vet, and they estimated she was about a year old. They said that the poor girl had been fighting for her life. She has scars from having to fight with other cats, especially male cats. She was so very sweet and just wanted love, and we have kept her and have her healthy again. Now she weighs almost 11 lbs., and her feisty little personality is coming out more. She has been fixed and she had a bump over her eye that we had removed. She is healthy and thriving. We were hoping to be able to keep her but have 3 male cats, and she is not a fan of them, and they are not sure about her, so we have her confine her to one of our bedrooms. We feel that due to her rough start in life, she probably needs to be an only pet but maybe someone with more experience could have her with other pets. She loves to play and we just want her to have a loving home where she will be able to see that she is safe and loved.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Penny, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
