My story

Handsome EJ (estimated DOB: 12/1/2022) has a gorgeous orange tabby coat. His foster mom describes EJ as a big-hearted, athletic lovebug who brings serious “dog-like” energy to the cat world. He’s incredibly sweet and friendly with humans and does not shy away from new experiences. If you’ve ever found yourself torn between wanting a cat or a dog, EJ might be your perfect middle ground. EJ is large but lean. He thrives with feline friends who can match his enthusiasm for wrestling and playing. Because of that, he is not a great fit for an elderly or low-energy cat, but he’d be fantastic in a home with cats that can match his energy level. We rescued EJ from a regional animal control facility at the end of December 2025. The ideal home for EJ will have another young active cat with which he can play and wrestle. While EJ hasn’t been tested with dogs or children yet, his friendly, unflappable nature suggests he’d likely do well with cat-savvy dogs or kids. If you’re looking for a friendly, affectionate cat with a big personality and an even bigger heart, EJ is ready to meet you.
