My story

ABOUT TAZZ Tazz is our 6-year-old tabby sass-a-frass! She came to HAP when her owner could no longer care for her. Having spent most of her life in a loving home, she’s had a bit of a tough time adjusting to shelter life. We’re still giving her time to settle in, so we’re not quite sure if her sass is just part of the transition or her true personality, but what we do know is that underneath that initial attitude is a very affectionate girl! Once Tazz feels comfortable, she’ll weave, rub, and lean her entire body into you for love. And if you stop before she’s satisfied, she’ll be sure to let you know with her loud meows, she’s quite the vocal lady! As Tazz continues to settle in and we learn more about her, we’ll keep you updated! In the meantime, if you’re interested in this sassy yet sweet girl, stop by to meet Tazz today! *Tazz is okay sharing her space with other cats, as long as they respect that she’s in charge and prefer to coexist rather than interact. She’d do best with a cat that has a similar independent personality. If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific cat but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! We may require all household members, including children, to come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and a small bag of food to get you started.
