Grandpa Meatball

My story

Grandpa Meatball arrived at BENCHS as a stray, so we do not know much about his past. What we do know is that this little senior has a very big personality and an even bigger love for people. Grandpa Meatball does have chronic dry eye, which means he requires daily eye drops and regular cleaning to keep him comfortable. Our team provides his eye care multiple times a day, and he handles it like a champ. His slightly crusty eyes are simply part of who he is, and we think they add to his unique charm. He is incredibly people oriented and absolutely adores attention. If you sit down near him, there is a very good chance he will scoot closer, climb into your space, and make himself right at home beside you. Personal space is not really his thing, he prefers to be close to the people he loves. When he is not seeking affection, Grandpa Meatball enjoys relaxing with soft blankets, stuffed animals, and cozy beds. He also has a very impressive sploot, stretching out on the floor and showing off his adorable little toad-like back legs. Because he can get a bit enthusiastic with affection, Grandpa Meatball would do best in a home without other pets or small children. He would thrive with someone who appreciates a dog that is deeply devoted, affectionate, and full of personality. Grandpa Meatball may be a little quirky, but that is exactly what makes him so special. He is loving, funny, and wonderfully unique, and for the right person he is going to be an incredibly loyal companion.
