My story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Say hello to Scout! Scout is a 3&#226&#128&#145year&#226&#128&#145old, 13&#226&#128&#145pound Pomski who came to rescue with his sister after the previous owner could no longer care for them. This fluffy little guy may be small, but Scoot has a huge personality, a joyful spirit, and a whole lot of love to give. Scout is a happy, energetic boy whose absolute favorite thing in the world is walks—lots and lots of walks! The moment the leash comes out, Scout pops into full “adventure mode,” complete with excited spins, happy bounces, and joyful barks. Scout loves exploring, sniffing, and being on the move. If he hears the word walk, the enthusiasm level instantly skyrockets. And when it comes to cold weather—well, Scout’s Husky side shines bright. Snow? Frosty mornings? What cold? Scout lives for wintertime and would play outside endlessly if allowed. A fenced yard is a bonus, but not required—just be prepared for a quick game of “catch me” when it’s time to come inside because he isn’t always ready for the fun to stop. In his foster home, Scout gets along well with other dogs and coexists just fine around cats. He enjoys attention from humans, is social without being pushy, and absolutely loves booty scratches. Scout also rides well in the car and is motivated by treats, which makes training easier. He’s doing well with housetraining and has only had a few accidents—consistency and routine will help him finish polishing those skills. Scout was recently neutered, so a short adjustment period is expected. Because Scout can be vocal when excited or wanting attention, apartment living could be challenging, especially if neighbors prefer quiet. A home where he is free to express that happy Pomsky voice may be a better fit. Kids 12+ have been around Scout and he did fine.  He enjoys attention but can be jumpy and exuberant when excited. Scout is affectionate, sweet, and loves being near people. Once Scout settles in, he will curl up, relax, and even tug blankets around so he can feel a cold draft—very on brand for this little snow lover. Scout is a loving, loyal dog who will thrive with someone who enjoys walking, playing, and spending quality time with their furry companion. If you’re looking for a fun, adventurous buddy who will celebrate every day with you, Scout might just be your perfect match. Scout is now neutered, up to date with core vaccines, microchipped, dewormed and tested neg. for heartworm.  He has also been professionally groomed!  His adoption fee is $475 We require that a martingale collar be used at the time of adoption. If you do not have a martingale collar, you can purchase one from Pixie Mamas for an additional $10. This requirement is in place to ensure the dog's safety and security.
