My story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. ADOPTION PROCESS Before 2nd Chance Dog Rescue places a dog in his/her furever home, the potential adopter is required to fill out an Adoption Consultation Application.  Once we have reviewed your application we will contact you to arrange a meet and greet and home check.  2nd Chance Dog Rescue will only adopt to families living in the Queen Creek, Gilbert, Chandler, Mesa, Tempe, San Tan Valley, and Phoenix area - as long as it is within 50 miles of our rescue (Queen Creek).   If you are ready to meet one of our amazing dogs CLICK ON THIS LINK TO FILL OUT OUR ADOPTION CONSULTATION FORM Meet Rayna, a 10-year-old sweet, mellow, and incredibly loving girl who is vaccinated and spayed. Rayna came to our rescue when her previous owner could no longer care for her and left her home alone. Her family stepped in to make sure she had food and water until we were able to bring her to safety. Her previous owner reported that she gets along well with other dogs, and she also does great with children and people. Rayna is a hidden gem who is looking for love and attention and would thrive in a calm, caring home. She would make a perfect companion to relax next to while watching a movie—or join you for a walk, since she walks wonderfully on leash. Rayna is smart and well-mannered—she knows sit, paw, and down, and takes her treats very gently. She loves chewing on her bones, playing with toys, or enjoying a game of fetch. She rides great in the car, is fully housetrained, and is a pro at using the doggie door. She has never destroyed anything in the home when left alone. Rayna is unknown with cats, and a meet-and-greet is required for other dogs in the home. This sweet girl would love to be in a foster home or a foster-to-adopt situation. She just wants to be with her people, show her love, and share her gentle, loyal, and playful personality. Rayna is smart, affectionate, and ready to be someone’s perfect companion. If interested in meeting Rayna, please fill out one of our applications, Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 3, 2026, 5:21 pm

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Rayna, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
