My story

Meet Xavier Xavier’s owner passed away and was left alone in the backyard. A friend of mine knew the owner & went to the empty house to make sure he was fed and had water everyday. When I learned about his situation, I wanted to help, even if only for a short time and that’s when Xavier joined our home. Xavier is an incredibly sweet boy who loves being close to his people. He’s a total couch potato, happiest lounging near his humans, sunbathing, or cuddled up with his favorite stuffies. One of his most endearing traits is greeting you at the door with a toy in his mouth every time. He’s wonderful with kids and truly the best kind of companion. After everything he’s been through, Xavier can be a bit anxious around other dogs. He would do best as the only dog, or with someone experienced in slow, thoughtful introductions and separation. Xavier is looking for a calm, loving home where he can finally feel safe and cherished again. In return, he’ll give endless love and loyalty!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Xavier, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
