My story

Meet Gamma. His name means `third` but he'd love to be first in your heart! Gamma was pretty fearful when he first came to Humane Colorado but with patience he's shown himself to be a gentleman, knowing his basic commands and well-behaved when he's leashed and out for a walk. He likes to take his time getting to know new people and may be stand-offish at first but then he warms up and leans in for head scratches and affection. In his previous home Gamma lived well with another dog and toddler. Due to his size and initial fear around new people we recommend a quiet home with no or older children. He'd like to meet all members of the family, including any other doggies. Experienced owners would be best, who will give Gamma plenty of time and space as he settles in and gets to know his new family.February 1, 2026, 4:36 pm
