My story

Melody is a 5-year-old, 49-pound sweetheart with a heart as big as her cuddles. This gentle girl was found bravely caring for her puppies behind a Dollar Tree, and after being the best mama imaginable, all of her babies have found their forever homes. Now it’s Melody’s turn to be someone’s cherished companion.Melody is truly the snuggliest, cuddliest dog you’ll ever meet. She adores being close to her people and has never met a stranger — friends are just humans she hasn’t cuddled yet! She especially loves children and has the kindest, most patient soul.When she’s not soaking up affection, Melody is all about her toys. She’s delightfully silly and will proudly try to carry multiple toys at once, making sure everyone knows how happy she is. To get started, please submit an adoption application at www.jasperslegacy.org/apply-to-adoptAdoption process:Potential adopters complete our online application. From there, we contact them to continue the screening process including checking references, vet checks, and a personal phone interview. Upon completion, potential adopters are pre-approved.From there, potential adopters are put in touch with the foster parent(s) of the dog they are interested in adopting. If a specific dog is not in mind, admins will make suggestions based on who we feel will be good candidates for their home. We take the foster's opinions into high consideration when determining ideal fit for an adoption.Once the dog is determined to be a good fit for the adoptive home, the adopter is given advisement on decompression, training, safety gear, and future preventative vetting. The adoption contract is signed and adoption fee paid to finalize the adoption. ##2635793##
