My story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Looking for a gentle, loving little buddy to share your days? Meet Max, a 10-year-old poodle mix with a heart full of sweetness and just the right amount of playful spark. At about 13 pounds, Max is the perfect size for lap lounging—and trust me, that’s his specialty. He absolutely loves curling up beside you for pets, rubs, and quiet companionship. If you’re someone who enjoys peaceful days and cozy evenings, Max is ready to be your shadow. Max is fully vetted, up to date on all vaccinations, on heartworm prevention and neutered. Poor Max suffered from years of neglect by his owner. Max was so matted his neck and leg motion was restricted by the armor like encasement of the matting. It is a miracle his limbs weren’t strangulated necessitating amputation. Max was also infested with too many fleas to count and putridly filthy. It is a miracle he survived. It took his groomer 4 hours to shave off the hair and filth and she is very skilled and experienced. My outrage at his condition is only tempered by the relief he was legally surrendered to our rescue. Max is sweet as can be and is a small approximately 10 year old poodle.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 4, 2026, 10:29 am
