Hera was found living near an underpass - an extremely unsafe place - where she lovingly cared for her four kittens. Kind people began leaving food and blankets for her, and she would curl up behind bushes to sleep on the blankets they provided. Once help was contacted, Hera and her kittens were safely trapped and brought to the shelter. At first, Hera was thought to be feral, but it quickly became clear that she is actually a tame, affectionate cat. Only Hera knows how she ended up in such a dangerous situation, but we’re very grateful she made it to safety - especially since she had medical issues that required immediate treatment. Now that she’s feeling much better, Hera is ready to find her forever home. She loves cozy beds, being petted, and soaking up attention. Hera doesn’t seem to mind other cats and would thrive as an indoor-only kitty. Outside, she becomes anxious and overwhelmed - and she is a confirmed door dasher - so a secure indoor home is a must.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Hera, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
