My story

Lightning is a striking, one-year-old heart-stealer with endless personality packed into his sleek, handsome frame.  Lightning is sweet, goofy, and full of energy! He has a truly beautiful face and is always well dressed in his little kitty tuxedo! He absolutely lives for attention and affection this is a cat who believes petting is a full-time job. If you stop before he says it’s time, you might get a playful little “smack” with his chin to tell you more love please! Now, all he wants is love, cuddles, and to be right by your side. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will happily be your shadow, Lightning is your guy. Lightning does have a fear of cat carriers due to trauma from the live trap used during his rescue. While getting into a carrier can be stressful for him, he does completely fine once he’s inside. He’s very comfortable in a large dog crate when unsupervised and settles in well.He gets along beautifully with two of his friendly foster kitty brothers and enjoys feline companionship. He hasn’t met dogs yet, but introductions can absolutely be done if needed!   Finders Keepers Cat Rescue is a foster home-based rescue in Clarksville, TN, and our cats are in private foster homes in the Clarksville area. Kittens under 6 months must be adopted in pairs or have another cat already in the home. An adoption application is required to meet our kitties. Once your application is reviewed and upon approval, we will then provide the information to schedule a meet and greet with their foster.   We are a 100% volunteer run organization and have varying hours, as our volunteers work during the day, our goal is to process adoption applications within 24-72 hours, please be patient with us!
