My story

Meet Zenith, a 4 month old, 20-pound (as of 1/16) Cattle Dog/Heeler mix who already seems to understand that life is best lived through joy, curiosity, and as much cuddling as possible. Zenith is the kind of puppy who makes you smile without trying. He’s silly, happy, and hopelessly affectionate. He truly loves being close to his people and if there’s a lap available, he’ll find it. Whether you’re sitting up or lying down, he’s perfectly content to stretch out on your chest, curl up beside you, or melt right into your arms. Belly rubs are a big hit, too - he’s more than happy to roll right over and soak up attention. Awwww! When he’s not cuddling, Zenith is busy being a puppy in the very best way. He adores toys and can happily entertain himself for long stretches, tossing them around and inventing his own little games. He’s playful and energetic, but not chaotic, and he balances his activity with a surprisingly good ability to settle. He loves food, is highly treat-motivated, and is already showing how eager he is to learn. Also, Zenith is a dream when left alone. He doesn’t mind being confined to a room, and he uses that time to either nap or just enjoy some downtime. Way to go, Z! Zenith gets along beautifully with humans and other dogs, and shows excellent social skills for such a young pup. If he gets a bit overexcited, he takes correction well and adjusts accordingly. He’s friendly, open, confident, and has a gentle easygoing nature that makes him a pleasure to be around. He rarely barks and seems more interested in engaging, observing, and being part of whatever is happening around him. Like most puppies his age, Zenith is still learning the basics. He’s he’s doing well with pad training and is clearly a smart boy who will pick up things quickly. He knows what no means and you can take toys, food, or anything else away from him without any negative reaction. He’s just trusting, chill, and cooperative! Zenith would be a great fit for any busy household that’s ready to commit to training and keeping up with an active growing puppy. With consistency, guidance and love, Zenith is going to grow into an exceptional dog. If you would like to adopt this wonderful dog, please email rescue@pupstarzrescue.org or visit www.pupstarzrescue.org for an application! www.pupstarzrescue.org Please Follow us on Instagram: @pupstarzrescue Like us on FaceBook! www.facebook.com/PupStarzRescue **Puppies are hard work.
