My story

2 years old | Cattle Dog mix | 30 lbs | Adventure buddy + couch companion Hi there! I’m Debbie — your future best friend, walking partner, and movie-night snuggle expert. I’m smart, friendly, curious, and always ready to see what fun the day brings. When I first arrived at the shelter, I had an unsteady, wobbly walk that worried everyone. The vet believes I was born this way, and the good news is that it is not progressive and will not get worse. I’m otherwise healthy, happy, and living my best life! I used a wheelchair briefly at first while I built strength, but guess what? I don’t need it anymore — not at all! Thanks to foster care, love, and time, I now walk completely on my own. I can walk, run, jump, and keep up just fine. I may wobble a little, but that’s just part of my charm. ‍&#226&#153&#128&#239&#184&#143&#226&#156&#168 I don’t have any special needs — just a big personality and an even bigger heart. I love people (kids included!) and enjoy being the center of attention, so I’d prefer to be the queen of my castle as your one and only. I like other dogs, but I really shine when I have my space and my humans all to myself. I’m looking for a home that wants adventures and cozy nights in — someone who sees my wobble and thinks, “Yep, that’s my girl.” If you’re ready for a loyal, joyful companion who’s overcome a lot and is excited for what’s next, I’m ready to meet you.   As always, we encourage a trial run before adoption, so you’ll have the opportunity to make sure Debbie is the perfect fit for your home and lifestyle.
