My story

Please see HSBC website to adopt. Adoption fee is $250 - UTD/Microchip/Spayed -Hover "Adopt". Click "Dog". -Scroll to "How to Adopt" - Click "Dog Application". Dakota was left at a shelter and there was little information on her. This beautiful, 45lb lady, attaches quickly to a person but takes a few minutes to warm up. She is shy around new  people ,but once she knows her family, she is all in. Dakota is in a very active foster home with kids and adults and she has come to thrive. She plays, listens well, and is truly enjoying life. Please don't pass her by. Dakota needs a home with love and patience - one that will give her time to adjust and warm up (believe us, it doesn't take long). She is great with well-behaved kids. We do not know how she will do with cats. Her foster home does not have dogs but the shelter she was pulled from stated that she showed no interest in dogs. A meet with other dogs is a must before adoption.April 2, 2026, 3:39 pm

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Dakota, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
