My story

PLEASE NOTE- AN APPLICATION FROM THE WEBSITE ALMOSTHOMEDOGS.ORG IS REQUIRED prior to any meet and greet. Calling, emailing or "inquiring" is not useful and will delay your consideration in the adoption of the dog. Sweet Yuki is a young (3ish) year old neutered Shiba Inu about 30 pounds. "Yuki" means happiness, good fortune or lucky. Bred for hunting in the Japanese mountains, he is so smart. Absolutely loves going on walks and other dogs. Other dogs that love to run around and do zoomies/chase him in the backyard are his favorite. His ideal home would be with a moderately active family (kids included) and at least one other playful dog with a fenced in backyard for his zoomies and chase. He loves being loved on and will reward you with sweet kisses. It is the cutest thing to see him curl up in the bed at night and watch the television with you. He is relatively quiet but will bark/whine in the crate if he can see you or if he needs to go out. Otherwise he settles right down and sleeps. The best part is he is fully potty trained. He is an amazing little dog that deserves to finally have a home where he can settle down and be part of a real family. The adoption fee is $450, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including age appropriate vaccinations, worming, flea/tick preventative, heartworm test if age appropriate and spay/neuter. All of our dogs will be microchipped. Because our dogs are in foster homes, applications are required prior to setting up any appointments. Calling or emailing may delay your consideration. Please understand that we do our best to describe our dogs but often we rescue them with virtually no information about them and often our best educated guess can be challenging.
