My story

Miranda had the saddest beginning to her life. She came from a house in Philadelphia with way too many cats and before she was even born, their "owner" had been hospitalized and then moved to a nursing home. A relative of the owner came by each week and did nothing more than throw an open bag of food into the front door. That was the only care the cats in the house received for weeks and some of the female cats even had kittens during that time (Miranda being one of them). Finally, a friend of the family learned about the situation and posted on social media about the poor cats trapped in this house getting virtually no care. When our rescue heard about the situation, we felt we had to help. The first time we went to the house, we all left in tears....it was even worse than we imagined. The cats were so hungry and were so scared and the house was literally falling apart. We honestly weren't sure whether they would ever be adoptable, which was not only heartbreaking but also overwhelming. For the first 2-3 weeks after they went to foster care, the cats hid all the time, only coming out to eat when nobody was around. Slowly but surely, they started coming out more and more! With lots of TLC and patience, they slowly blossomed into sweet, healthy and beautiful cats. Many of the cats, including Miranda, tested positive for Felv, but they are doing great in spite of it! Miranda is still a little bit shy when she first meets somebody but she turns into o an affectionate love bug once she feels safe. She is often seen rolling on her back showing her belly for attention! She is truly a special cat who has faced so many challenges in her short life. Please consider opening your home to Miranda. She has been in foster care for far too long and deserves to move on to the next chapter of her life in her OWN home!! She is fully vetted - sterilized, vaccinated, flea treated, dewormed and microchipped. Because of being FeLv+, she needs to be an only cat or go to a home with other FeLv+ kitties. Apply today for this sweetie! https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/PRR/Cat

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Miranda (**FeLV+), please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
