My story

Meet Poblano, a silver tabby and white sweetheart with just the right amount of flavor. This gentle guy isn’t spicy—he’s mild, steady, and wonderfully easy to have around. Independent but kind-hearted, he’s the perfect blend of handsome looks and quiet charm. Poblano would do best in a barn or farm home where he can enjoy space to roam, sunny naps, and life at his own comfortable pace. He may not be the type to demand constant attention, but he’ll appreciate a safe place to call home, regular meals, and people who respect his laid-back style. His beautiful silver stripes and crisp white markings make him a standout in any setting, but it’s his calm presence that truly makes him special. If you’re looking for a reliable farm companion with a sweet nature and just a hint of personality, Poblano is ready to bring the perfect touch of flavor to your property. Meet and greet/adoption appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. All our cats and kittens have an "Adopt one and the 2nd at half the adoption fee!" bonus!!! Our kitten/cat adoption fees vary on age, special needs, lonely heart status (cats that have been with us 6+ months), and for our senior to seniors program. Our adoption fees include the following: all of our cats/kittens are current on vaccinations (FVRCP series and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), treated for fleas/ticks/earmites in addition to being spayed or neutered once the cat reaches 2 lbs in weight. All cats and kittens adopted from the shelter are microchipped. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all cats leaving the shelter be in a carrier. All pets are up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee is paid.
