My story

Cutie is a four-year-old, 71-pound McNab Shepherd with a tender heart and a lot of potential. She came to Home Fur Good after being surrendered for behavioral euthanasia when her previous living situation, a home with eight small dogs, proved overwhelming. As a herding breed, Cutie naturally wants to round up and contain other animals, so it wasn’t the best match for her. Thankfully, Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital recognized that she deserved another chance and saw nothing about her behavior that warranted euthanasia. When she first arrived, Cutie was terrified. It was a challenge just to get her to eat or leave her bed. Yet despite her fears, she has always been gentle, allowing handling and care from the staff. Every day, she shows small signs of progress, slowly beginning to trust again. Cutie’s ideal home will be with an experienced adopter who understands shy, sensitive dogs and can give her the time and patience she needs to adjust. She will blossom with calm structure, a secure environment, and a person who believes in her. Once she feels safe, her sweetness shines through, and she has so much love to offer. Cutie’s adoption fee of $250 includes spay, vaccinations, microchip, and a wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital. To meet her, call 602-971-1334 or stop by Thursday–Saturday, 11–4.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Cutie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
