My story

ALL ABOUT ME  Name: Sulgi Age: 1 year old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Jindo-Samoyed Mix Colour: White Weight: 13kg / 28.6lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY Hi there! I’m Sulgi — a gentle soul who was rescued from the city pound just in time, after being placed on the euthanasia list due to overcrowding. I spent my early life in a small kennel with a low ceiling, which is why I sometimes crouch when I sit or stand — it’s a habit I picked up, but it doesn’t stop me from living with joy. Thanks to kind rescuers, I now have a second chance at life, and I’m ready to find a forever family to call my own.   MY HEALTH No known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Though I might be shy at first, I’m truly one of the sweetest boys you’ll ever meet. Gentle voices and tasty treats help me warm up quickly. Once I trust you, I’ll nuzzle into you for cuddles, bury my head for love, and happily be your loyal shadow. I’m playful in quiet ways and affectionate without being overwhelming. Staff and volunteers say I’m even cuter in person — calm, observant, and deeply loving once I feel safe.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS With People: I’m a little shy at first, but I open up beautifully with patience and encouragement. I love gentle pets, mealtime companionship, and cuddling once I trust you. I haven’t met many children, but with calm, dog-savvy kids and slow introductions, I believe I’d do just fine. I’m also polite at mealtime and never guard my food from humans. With Dogs: I’m friendly and gentle with other dogs, especially those close to my size. I love to play once I’m comfortable and tend to rely on my dog friends for emotional support. A calm, confident dog sibling would help me thrive. I do sometimes mount when I get excited — I’m still learning my doggie manners, so structured intros and guidance will help me improve. I’m respectful during meals and don’t guard food from other dogs. With Cats: I haven’t met cats up close yet, but I stay calm when I see them outdoors and focus easily on my handler. With thoughtful introductions, I believe I could coexist peacefully with feline friends.   ENERGY AND ACTIVITIES I have a moderate energy level — a great mix of playful and snuggly. I enjoy sniffing around outside, exploring new spaces, and then curling up inside with my people. I love quiet adventures and will be your gentle walking companion.   TRAINING & HABITS I’ve quickly picked up leash walking and follow my handler well I love sniff-walks and use them to explore calmly Loud noises or sudden movements can startle me, and I may try to run — that’s why I must always be double-leashed (collar + harness) and ideally wear a GPS tracker I rarely bark and am quiet and calm in my kennel I prefer to potty outdoors and am already used to that routine I’m food-motivated and eager to continue learning!   MY IDEAL HOME I’d do best with a patient, loving family who understands that I may need time to adjust and grow into my full confidence. My ideal home includes: A safe, calm, and structured environment Gentle humans who will help me continue to build trust Regular outdoor time and cozy indoor bonding A family who appreciates quiet affection and meaningful companionship Ideally another friendly, confident dog to help me feel secure (not required, but preferred)   SPECIAL NOTES Due to my past and tendency to startle easily, it’s critical that I’m always double-leashed on walks and kept in a secure space. I’m a quiet, kind-hearted boy who is still discovering how wonderful the world can be. Once I bond with you, I’ll be the most loyal and gentle companion you could ask for — your shadow, your snuggle buddy, and your quiet cheerleader through every day. I’m not just looking for a home — I’m looking for a place to belong. ##2559295##
