My story

ALL ABOUT ME  Name: Ghana Age: 2 years old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Jindo-Retriever Mix Colour: Brown Weight: 9kg / 20lbs Fully Vaccinated & Microchipped, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY Hi! I’m Ghana — a happy, people-loving boy who was rescued from the euthanasia list at the Busan City Shelter. Despite my rough past, I’ve stayed affectionate, resilient, and full of energy. Now I’m safe, healthy, and ready to find a forever home where I can run, play, and be loved just as I am.   MY HEALTH Vaccination History: • 2025-09-26 – DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, Parainfluenza) • 2025-10-06 – Canine Coronavirus Heartworm Test: • 2025-10-09 – 4DX Test: Negative   MY PERSONALITY I’m an affectionate, outgoing pup with a high energy level and a big heart. I love the outdoors, enjoy playtime, and need regular exercise to feel balanced. While I’m very friendly, I can sometimes be startled by sudden movements or loud noises. When I get excited during walks, I tend to pull strongly on the leash — especially if I catch a scent or see something interesting. But after a good 15–20 minute walk or run, I settle down nicely and enjoy relaxing with toys or near my people.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS With People: I’m a total lovebug! I greet strangers just as warmly as I do familiar faces, and I’ll happily roll over for belly rubs — even if we just met. I’m comfortable being picked up and held under my belly. I thrive on human affection and love being close. With Dogs: I greet other dogs politely and generally get along well with those my size or smaller. I don’t tend to play much with other dogs, but I enjoy their company. I rely on my dog friends for comfort, even if I’m not the playful type. With Cats: I’m curious about cats and like to watch them from a distance, but I follow my handler’s lead well. I’ve also been known to try to chase birds, so a secure leash is a must on walks.   ENERGY AND ACTIVITIES I have a high energy level and need daily exercise to stay calm and content. On walks, I may pull at first, but I mellow out after some outdoor fun. I love playing with toys — especially anything that crinkles or squeaks — and I enjoy sniffing around and marking once I’ve settled down. After burning off energy, I relax calmly and enjoy quiet indoor time.   TRAINING & HABITS I’m food-safe — I don’t guard my meals from people or dogs I’m kennel-trained and stay calm when resting in my crate I may bark to ask for things I want (like attention or toys), but I quiet down with reassurance I use both indoor pee pads and outdoor potty spots — I may mark new places, but this improves over time I respond best to gentle guidance and a consistent routine, especially for walks and unfamiliar sounds   MY IDEAL HOME I’d love a home where I can enjoy daily outdoor adventures and active playtime. My ideal family would be: Patient and experienced with energetic dogs Able to offer consistent leash training and reassurance when I’m startled Affectionate and interactive, giving me attention and helping me grow more confident Open to a multi-dog household, though not expecting me to be a playful companion Living in a calm, structured home with access to outdoor space or regular walks   SPECIAL NOTES I’m not possessive with food, I’m gentle with other dogs, and I settle well indoors after active time outside. I love people deeply — maybe even a little too much sometimes — and will happily be your shadow throughout the day. I don’t need perfection — just patience, affection, and a safe place to be myself.   Ghana's YouTube Playlist ##2559290##
