Rome

My story

Rome is the last pup of the Apple Crew that is still looking for his “Forever Home.” We definitely saved the best for last. Not only is he gorgeous but he has the sweetest temperament. We were told that Rome’s Mom was a German Shepherd Mix and we definitely see some Austrailian Shepherd possibly Catahoula. At 3 months old he is 18 pounds so we expect him to be a Medium-Large dog when he is finished growing. Rome has been to several adoption and puppy yoga events. He loves everyone he meets adults and children alike. Rome has been exposed to dogs and the resident cat in his foster home. He’s always calm, cool and collected around them. He loves to be held and cuddled at every opportunity and his Foster Mom can’t help but to oblige him. Rome will need some leash training since he has a fenced in yard at his Foster Home and there has not been much need for him to be leash walked. The only time he is in a crate is when he travels to events. Otherwise he has a puppy room that he shared with his liter mates. Rome is still sharing the puppy room with his brother Cortland. Cortland will be going to his Forever Home on Saturday and we would really like to see Rome find his Forever Home so he will not be the last pup standing in his Foster Home. He definitely needs a family that is patient and committed to all of his continued puppy training. He is doing very well with house training but will still use the newspapers in his puppy room if needed. Rome’s Foster Mom feels he would do best in a home where he wouldn’t be alone for more than 3-4 hours daily since this is what he has grown accustomed to In his Foster Home.
