My story

Looking for a gem to brighten your days? Meet Goldie, a 9lb chihuahua mix who truly lives up to her name — pure gold from nose to tail! This little treasure was so close to finding her forever home, but through no fault of her own, her adoption fell through. Now she’s back on the market and ready to dazzle her next family with her sparkle and charm. Fostered in Toronto, Goldie is estimated to be around 2 years old — though opinions vary, so her exact age is a bit of a mystery. What’s crystal clear, though, is her heart of gold and radiant personality! She’s a cheerful, affectionate pup who’s been melting hearts with her floppy zoomies and joyful energy. Friendly and full of life, Goldie would be a precious addition to a home with another playful dog — though she’s probably not the best match for older pups who prefer a quiet, low-energy lifestyle. Her energy is pure 24-karat fun — she loves tug-of-war, toys, and playtime. Like any young gem, she’s still being polished. When overtired or overstimulated, she can get a bit mouthy, but she’s easily redirected with a chew or soft toy. She’s quick to learn and responds beautifully to calm, positive guidance. Because of this, she’d shine brightest in a home with older kids or adults. Goldie doesn’t bark much, which makes her a real jewel for apartment living, as long as her people commit to walks and playtime to help her burn off that sparkle. This golden girl is cuddly, quirky, and bursting with personality — a rare find who’s just waiting for her forever family to discover her worth. If you’re ready for a loyal companion who’s pure gold inside and out, Goldie’s ready to be the crown jewel of your heart ••••••••• As my foster family gets to know me my profile can change and will be updated accordingly. Check back often for details! An application for me can be found at www.justpaws.ca. Just Paws is located in the Greater Toronto Area of Ontario, Canada. We do not adopt out of province or country. Please note that although many of our dogs get along with children, we are not able to adopt to any household with kids under the age of 8 years old. This is a stipulation of our insurance and is not a reflection on suitability of the potential adopter.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt GOLDIE, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
