My story

Meet Egret! Breed: Terrier MixGender: FemaleAge: PuppySize: Small ([WEIGHT])Good with: Other dogs, patient people who understand shy puppies Egret is part of our adorable bird-themed litter—along with her siblings Ibis, Pelican, and Swan—and she's been on quite the journey! This little Terrier mix came to us very shy and uncertain about the world, but over time she's gotten SO much more confident. We're watching her little personality finally start to shine through, and it's been absolutely beautiful to witness. Here's what we know so far: Egret runs and plays happily with other dogs! Her canine friends have been her confidence builders, and she's comfortable being herself around them. People, though? Still a little spooky. She needs time to warm up and decide you're safe before she'll let her guard down. But once she does? You'll get to see the real Egret emerge—the one who's been hiding under all that shyness. Because Egret was so timid for so long, we're still learning who she really is. Her personality is only just starting to show through, which means her adopter gets the special privilege of helping her discover her full potential! She'll need a patient home that understands shy puppies aren't broken—they just need time, encouragement, and the space to blossom at their own pace. A home with another confident, friendly dog would be ideal for Egret. She learns from watching other dogs, and having a canine mentor would help her continue building her confidence as she grows. If you're ready to be part of a shy puppy's transformation story, Egret is waiting to show you who she can become! Ready to welcome Egret into your life? Contact us to meet this wonderful girl! Disclaimer: The information in this profile reflects observations made while this dog has been in our shelter environment. We strive to describe each dog as accurately as possible; however, behavior and needs may change once the dog is in a new home, routine, or environment. Our dogs are not freeroaming in homes. When we note that a dog is "potty trained," this refers to reliable crate training, not confirmed freeroam house training. Accidents may occur during the transition to a new home, and additional training should be expected. All dogs are examined by our veterinarian, are spayed or neutered if old enough, and are up to date on ageappropriate vaccinations at the time of adoption. We share all known medical information, but we cannot guarantee future health or rule out underlying conditions. ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.happyfacespetranch.org Once your application has been approved, a representative will be in touch to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog based on the dog's individual needs. ##2538725##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Egret, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
