ALL ABOUT ME Name: Rosen Age: 6 months old Gender: Female Spayed/Neutered: Scheduled for November Breed: Jindo mix Colour: White Weight: 7kg / 15.5lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed MY RESCUE STORY Hi there! My name is Rosen. I may be small, but I’ve already been through quite a journey. When I was just about a month old, I was found in a box with my siblings. The box had a heartbreaking message that read, “Take one for free.” When rescuers called the number written on the box, they discovered that my mom was a poor dog tethered outside, left only to guard the land. Despite her situation, she gave us life and love the best she could. My siblings and I were saved just in time, and now we’re all looking for our forever homes — safe, warm places where we’ll never be unwanted again. The rescuers also plan to save our mom soon, so she can finally know love and comfort too. MY HEALTH Fully vaccinated (5-round series complete) I have no known health issues. MY PERSONALITY I’m a gentle and careful girl who can seem a bit shy at first. Sometimes, when meeting new people, I bark a little — not out of meanness, but because the world still feels a bit big and uncertain to me. Once I realize I’m safe, though, I settle down quickly and show my calm, affectionate nature. I get along wonderfully with other dogs and love being part of their company. Playing, exploring, or just resting nearby makes me feel happy and at ease. With a little patience and love, I open up beautifully — and once I do, you’ll see that I have the sweetest heart and a quiet, loyal spirit that just wants to belong. MY SOCIAL SKILLS With People: I’m a shy girl who needs a little time to open up when meeting new people. Once I start to trust you, though, I’ll gladly take treats from your hand and lean in for gentle pets. I prefer not to be touched right away — I just need to feel safe first. But once I do, I love to show my belly and even enjoy being picked up for cuddles. I haven’t had much experience with children yet, but I think I’d do best in a calm home with older kids or dog-savvy children who understand how to give me space when I need it. I’m also very gentle around food and don’t guard my meals against people — I’m just happy to eat in peace. With Dogs: While I’m a bit reserved with people at first, I’m incredibly friendly with other dogs. They help me feel safe and confident, and I often look to them for comfort and reassurance. Because of that, I’d thrive in a home with another friendly, confident dog who can show me the ropes. I tend to get along especially well with bigger dogs, and even when others aren’t on their best behavior, I prefer to simply walk away and keep the peace. I’m a gentle soul who doesn’t guard my food around other dogs — I just want everyone to get along. With Cats: I haven’t had the chance to meet any cats yet, so my reaction is still a bit of a mystery. ENERGY AND ACTIVITIES I’m still young and full of puppy energy, so I love to run around and let out my zoomies before settling down nicely indoors. Once I’ve had my playtime, I’m quite good at relaxing and resting calmly in my kennel. On walks, I can get a little excited and pull at times, but I generally follow my handler’s lead well. Sudden loud noises can startle me, and when I feel scared, I tend to lie flat on the ground as a way to protect myself. For my safety, I’ll need to be walked using both a secure harness and collar, along with a GPS tracker — just to make sure I stay safe wherever I go. I sometimes bark to get attention or when I see a stranger for the first time, but my barking is never excessive. With a bit of gentle encouragement, I calm down quickly and go back to being my sweet, curious self. TRAINING & HABITS I walk nicely on leash and usually follow my handler’s lead without much pulling. Sometimes I’ll bark if I want your attention, just to remind you I’m there! I’m still working on my kennel training and might whine a little at first, but I’m learning. I know how to potty both indoors and outdoors, though I do best with a consistent routine. Because I’m clever and curious, I have a tendency to slip through small cracks in doors—so it’s very important I’m always kept in a secure, enclosed environment or double-leashed with both a harness and collar for safety. Staff and volunteers say I’m calm and relaxed indoors, but once I’m outside, I love to stretch my legs and show off how fast I can run—you’ll be amazed at my speed! MY IDEAL HOME I’m looking for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that offers a safe, structured, and calm environment. A family that enjoys spending quality time together indoors & outdoors. A family that can shower me with love and attention. A family who understands my shy nature and willing to be patient so I can learn to become more confident of the world. Ideally a home with another dog sibling – not an absolute requirement. SPECIAL NOTES Volunteers and staff think I’m a mini Jindo mix, and I’ll likely stay on the smaller side even when I’m fully grown. Beneath my shy exterior, I’m truly a sweet, gentle girl with so much love to give. I get along wonderfully with other dogs and enjoy receiving affection from people once I feel comfortable. With a little patience, encouragement, and kindness, my confidence blossoms — and that’s when my loving personality really shines through. ##2552680##
