My story

***REMINDER:  Please read the bio requirements and only fill in the application if you can meet ALL requirements. Due to the number of applications being received for each dog, we are only able to contact the applicants who have met ALL the listed Requirements*** Name/Tag#: Lila 4401 Age: 5 months Sex/Altered: Female/Spayed Weight: 18 lbs Breed: Lab mix Foster Home Location:  LONDON, ON Adoption Fee:  $850.00 Temperament: Sweet, Playful, Friendly, Sensitive Activity/Energy Level: Medium energy – pretty low-key Up to date on Shots: Yes Housebroken: Work in progress Crate Trained: Yes, but prefers not to be in the crate Ok with Dogs: Yes Ok with Cats: Unknown Ok with Kids: Yes, kids over the age of 6 Origin: Shelter/Rescue Requirements: Securely fenced yard, someone home most of the time, no kids under 6 years, a companion dog in the home or willing to socialize with other dogs frequently.   And now, a few words from my foster mom: Who’s looking for a sweet and silly girl to spice up their life! Introducing Lila; quite possibly one of the sweetest pups on the planet. A mix breed who is long and lean and likely to be of medium size. She is said to be a lab mix, but she is really just the most perfect mystery mutt. According to Lila she has two main criteria for her new family: Someone with a degree in belly rubs and someone with expertise in neck scratches. This gentle soul will just melt into your arms for cuddles and will trustingly roll over to offer her belly for rubs. Fun Fact: Lila’s favortie toys are those that squeak! Lila is a typical puppy. She has bursts of energy and then likes to settle for a nap. She enjoys being around her family and the other pets in the home, but she’s also able to show her independence playing with toys or exploring the yard on her own.  She is working on her potty training and has made great strides and will benefit from a consistent routine to reinforce the progress she has made. Lila will tolerate some time in a crate, however her preference at night is to settle in her human’s bed where she will sleep through the night without a peep. Fun Fact: Lila gets bedtime zoomies each night at around 9:30 pm! Lila is very low-key and a well-behaved pup. She currently spends part of her day at her foster parents’ office where she is quiet and keeps herself occupied with bones and naps and is always ready for the afternoon gossip break at the water cooler. She is not a chewer (other than bones which she loves) and has not shown any destructive tendencies in the home. Funf Fact: Lila is an expert shoe thief - not to chew, just to be mischievous! Lila generally enjoys hanging out with her family and will patiently wait at the door ready to join you on your outings, to go for a drive or a walk with the neighborhood dogs. She does, however, get a little nervous by loud noises or commotion, so it is important that Lila continues to have opportunities to socialize with other dogs and to be out and about in her community. She is learning to spend short periods of time on her own with the other dogs in the foster home. She will either chew a bone and nap in a crate or hang out on the couch with some toys. She is, however, a jumper, and has shown some great agility! Fun Fact:  Lila could be the next agility champion; she can already leap a 28-inch gate! Lila is very motivated by food. She has learned to sit and is working on her patience. Fun Fact: Lila is an expert at locating the weak link in the room, the one who will fall for her sweet eyes pleading for that little extra treat.  Being so food motivated, Lila does need reminders to be polite and patient and to share food and her human love with the other dogs in the home. She is working hard on this with her foster family, and it will be important that her new home continues this training. Fun Fact: Lila may be part kangaroo - she adorably bounces in the air at feeding time. Lila is a pup who will give you endless affection. She will greet you with a full body wiggle that makes you feel as though you are the most important being on this earth. Her long tail wags with excitement, she will lean in for nuzzles, kisses and love nibbles. Fun Fact: Lila gives the very best kisses. Apply now if you are ready to fill your life with endless tail wags, laughs and affection. Questions?
