You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Squirt! They don’t come much cuter than this guy! Squirt is a 10-year-old Norwich Terrier / Chihuahua mix. He has a rather coarse long coat of fawn and white, and dark brown eyes that melt you. Squirt came from a rural shelter. We don’t know his history, but it is obvious he was someone’s pet at one time. He is very comfortable in the foster home and made himself right at home. Within a few minutes of arriving in his foster home, he made friends with the family dogs. He is curious and friendly with people he meets. He adores other dogs and would love to be in a home with other canines to play with. Squirt may be 10ish, but don’t let his age fool you. Squirt has spunk and spirit, and enjoys all the things the younger pups do, including his daily walks, car rides, a little playtime, mealtime, and snuggling. This little guy has been such a gentleman in his foster home. He is house trained, crate trained, and very quiet. He doesn’t ask for much – some good food, a warm place to lay his head, preferably on your favorite chair or on your bed, some playtime, and of course, pets and snuggles. Squirt is UTD on vaccines. He had recent bloodwork and Urinalysis done. His Heartworm test was negative, and his Urinalysis was negative for kidney or liver disease. We are waiting for results on his bloodwork. He has only 2 teeth, so his tongue tends to hang out of the side of his mouth, but this gives him character! He eats softened kibble and wet food without issue and laps up his food with gusto! Squirt does have itchy skin and the vet suggested gentle baths 2x weekly for a while and daily brushing to keep his coat clean. Squirt is scheduled for neuter surgery in mid-November. He will be microchipped before adoption as well. Squirt would love to be your own personal lap warmer. Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The microchip is transferred to the adopter once the adoption is complete. Microchips are enrolled through AKC ReUnite. The adopter pays a one-time fee for lifetime enrollment at the time of adoption. Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
