My story

Meet Duke! Duke is a 14-month-old Auggie (Australian Shepherd/Corgi mix) who’s the perfect blend of brains, energy, and loyalty. This handsome neutered boy is up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Duke is a bundle of energy who’s always on the go and happiest when he’s by your side. He is always in turbo mode, he will chase and retrieve anything you throw, and is always eager to “help” with whatever you’re doing. He is potty trained, good on a leash, and loves car rides. Because Duke thrives on companionship, he needs a home where someone is home most of the time—he will not do well being left alone for long hours. An active household is a must for this busy boy! A home with another playful dog would be ideal, as he loves canine company and gets along great with dogs of all sizes, as well as cats. Duke came from a home with kids, but because he’s a herding breed, he’d do best with older children. He’s also good with horses and doesn’t chase them. This smart, loyal, and energetic pup needs plenty of physical and mental exercise and isn’t suited for a sedentary lifestyle. He’ll thrive in a home with a large fenced yard and an active person or family who can keep him busy and included. After an activity filled day, he loves to cuddle up next to his person. Duke is being fostered in St. Clair, Missouri Duke's Adoption fee: $325 Apply at: istodaymydayrescue.org

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Duke, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
