My story

Meet Cherry, a bright and quick-witted 7-month-old male Terrier mix, weighing 7kg of pure love! šŸ’› He absolutely adores being around people and is the perfect little cuddle buddy. When he was first rescued, Cherry was dealing with skin issues and a condition called "Cherry Eye" (where the eyelid folds inwards), but after treatment and surgery, he’s now fully recovered and healthy! He's currently living with other dogs and is a social, well-adjusted pup who gets along wonderfully in multi-dog households. Cherry is very friendly with adults and doesn’t shy away from new people. He’ll quickly approach and show off his sweet, affectionate side to anyone he meets. He’s not afraid of adult men and has almost no hesitation when meeting new faces. Although still a curious pup, Cherry walks calmly on a leash, showing no signs of pulling or excitement. He’s also not overly sensitive to cars, sounds, or fluttering banners, making him an ideal walking companion. 🐾 When it comes to house training, Cherry is great! He’s perfectly fine with both indoor and outdoor bathroom breaks, though he’s occasionally had a little accident with pooping. However, he’s very reliable with peeing and is already familiar with basic commands like ā€œsitā€ and ā€œhouse.ā€ He’s a smart boy and is quick to learn with some tasty treats as motivation! While his separation anxiety hasn’t been fully tested due to living with other dogs, it’s clear that Cherry loves people and might feel a bit lonely if left by himself. He thrives with human interaction and will happily give you all his love and attention in return. At the vet, Cherry stays calm and relaxed, even taking his medicine and Nexgard without fuss—especially if there’s a tasty treat involved! He might drool a little on longer trips, but that’s about the extent of his dislikes. Cherry’s keen sense of observation and his playful, affectionate personality are truly what make him so special. šŸ’• Cherry knows how to quietly express his love and has an incredible ability to understand the people around him. The more time you spend with him, the deeper the bond of trust will grow. He’s eagerly waiting for a warm family to call his own, one who will share their love with him and, in return, receive his endless affection. 🩵

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Cherry, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
