My story

Adopt a Pet from Mutt Life! Looking to add a furry friend to your family? At Mutt Life Rescue of Wisconsin, we have loving pets waiting for their forever homes. Explore our adoptable animals and find your perfect match today! For the latest updates on the mutts, follow us on Facebook: @muttlifewi Visit our website: Muttlife.org __________ Hannah is hoping to catch a ride on the transport with Mutt Life Dog Rescue on 10/25 to escape the kill shelter — but she needs a foster or adopter to secure her spot! Hannah is a 2-year-old female Boxer mix, weighing about 43 lbs. She was found as a stray and is currently adjusting to the shelter environment, which has left her a little nervous — but staff believe that, with time and a stable home, she will come out of her shell and thrive. Because she’s new to the shelter, she hasn’t yet been fully tested with dogs, cats, or kids. Her bio will be updated as staff get to know her better, but early impressions point to her being a sweet girl who just needs a calm and patient place to decompress. Hannah’s Info: Name: Hannah Sex: Female Age: 2 years Breed (Best Guess): Boxer Mix Weight: 43 lbs Altered: No Heartworm Status: Pending Intake Type: Stray Potty Trained: Unknown Crate Trained: Unknown Leash Manners: Unknown Good with Dogs: Not yet tested Good with Cats: Not yet tested Good with Kids: Not yet tested Bio updates will be posted soon! Hannah deserves a chance to feel safe, loved, and seen. If you can foster or adopt, please reach out to Mutt Life Dog Rescue today. She can’t make it out without your help. __________ Adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter procedure, up to date dewormer,  vaccinations, and heart worm prevention (age appropriate). NOTE: THE BREED LISTED FOR EACH DOG IS OUR BEST GUESS WITH THE HELP OF OUR VETERINARIANS. AFTER ALL, THIS IS MUTT LIFE DOG RESCUE.. __________ Review adoption requirements and ensure you meet the necessary criteria to apply! https://www.muttlife.org/adoption-policies _________ ADOPTION PROCESS: 1.) Apply: Fill out adoption application completely and submit all necessary documents. 2.)Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email. 3.)Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: after approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5 day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure its the right fit. 4.) Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue. 5.) Home Visit: After the adoption process we conduct a home visit either in person or via zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 6.) Neuter/spay for puppies: for dogs who are not fixed at the time of adoption, we will reimburse for the procedure once we receive proof of spay/neuter. The procedure MUST be done at HAWS Snip Clinic in Waukesha, WI or Wisconsin Community Veterinarian Center in Madison, WI. If you would like to go through your veterinarian or another location, we will reimburse $150 once we receive proof of the procedure. We recommend spay/neuter around 6 months old. **Note: Adoptions are not considered final until the dog is neutered/spayed if applicable**

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Hannah, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
