My story

Charlie is a 7-year-old Havapoo with a curious spirit and a heart full of sunshine! He arrived at the rescue with his sister Sophie, and these two are a bonded pair—they’re looking for a forever home where they can stay side-by-side, just like they’ve always been. Charlie is the explorer of the duo! He’s recently discovered the joy of a big grassy yard and is absolutely loving it. He enjoys solo sunbathing sessions and sniffing around the great outdoors. Inside the home, Charlie is housebroken, non-destructive when left alone, and spends most of his time curled up on the couch waiting patiently for your return. His tail wags for every treat, is very food motivated, and while he may bark when visitors arrive, he quickly realizes they’re just new friends waiting to be made! Charlie is great in the car, laying down almost immediately, and while he can be a bit nervous in new situations, he warms up fast—especially if kids are involved! He was a champ with two loud 8-year-olds and showed nothing but affection. He’s curious about other dogs and seems open to play, and while he hasn’t been tested with cats, his gentle and curious nature suggests he’d do well. Charlie is still learning the ropes when it comes to toys and commands (he’s got “get down” mastered and is working on “sit”), but he’s eager to learn and loves walks and adventures. Most of all, Charlie loves being close to Sophie, snuggled up or exploring side by side. If you’re ready to welcome twice the love, twice the joy, Charlie and Sophie are ready to fill your home with cuddles, tail wags, and endless affection! Potential adopters must have a fenced yard. Charlie has been fixed, vaccinated for DHLP-P and Rabies, micro-chipped, wormed, flea treated, and heartworm tested. ($550 worth of veterinary care.)
