My story

All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.  * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Adoption fee: $750   Meet the Cooking Puppies!       This darling litter of 10 week old CKC Spaniel mixes is as sweet as they come. Rescued from the shelter at just seven weeks old, they’ve been thriving in foster care and are now ready to find their forever families.       The Cooking Puppies’ days begin with breakfast first thing in the morning—t hough they’d happily pause a meal for snuggles. They spend their days playing hard, napping long, and eagerly listening for the sound of their humans coming home. By 8pm they’re ready for bed, but not before their favorite ritual: lots of cuddles. In fact, morning and nighttime snuggles are non-negotiable for these lovebugs!       Each pup has their own special flavor:       Grater – The biggest of the bunch and a natural leader. Grater will happily swoop in to claim a prized stick, toy, or treat, but it’s always in good fun. He’s the second-most cuddly and has soft, luxurious fur.       Ladle – The BFF in the making! He craves love and attention most of all, and he’s the most cuddly pup of the litter. If you're looking for a lap lover, he's your guy.       Funnel – The smallest but also the instigator of most playful tussles— usually by sneakily chomping a sibling’s thigh! Funnel is also an explorer, curious and brave, and can't wait to take on the world.       Blender – The quiet, sweet, and gentle soul of the group. Blender may be more reserved, but his affectionate nature shines through in calm moments. He’s the third-most cuddly, always happy to soak up love.       All four puppies are clean, already potty trained (with access to a yard and potty pads), and eager to please. They’re extremely kind, gentle, and affectionate— so much so that their foster says they’re some of the sweetest puppies they’ve ever cared for (and they have fostered a LOT of puppies!).
