My story

It's pretty impossible not to love Ringo! Ringo is about 2 months old and is an irresistibly sweet little man who loves to play, explore, and have some fun. He and his brothers came to us in rough shape, but with some TLC in their foster homes, they are all ready to find love. With there being four boys in the litter, we decided to name them the Fab Four Litter after The Beatles! Ringo is a growing boy who currently weighs about 4lbs. We estimated he will be around 30-40lbs when fully grown. Ringo and his brothers were abandoned by their owner and brought to our local shelter by the owner's housemate. The puppies were skinny and full of worms, so we were quick to welcome them into our rescue and help get them back to good health. They are pretty much supermutts and look to have a little bit of everything in their mix (maybe some chihuahua, pittie, or beagle?). They are all looking for individual homes so that they can get the one-on-one training and socialization that they need to thrive. Ringo is the clever one in the group. He was the first to pick up the doggie dog and is always eager to explore and check things out. He's a natural student who loves to learn and has been quick to pick up new things.  He is a confident and adventurous boy who would love an active family who would bring him along for all things fun. His favorite activities include wrestling with his brothers, getting pets, and making new friends. Ringo   is still working on all of his basic manners and needs a family committed to continuing his training and socialization to help him be the best boy he can be. Ringo has done well with other dogs and could be a great little brother for a playful pup needing a buddy. He could also do well as an only dog with lots of opportunities to socialize with dog friends. We haven't seen him around cats, but he could do well with dog-savvy cats after a slow introduction and proper supervision. Ringo could be a wonderful addition to a family with kids 7 years and older. Ringo has been doing well with his housetraining, but is still learning and needs a family who can be patient with him and be consistent about taking him outside for potty breaks. He has been doing well sleeping in a pen with his brother overnight, and when his foster family is gone, but since he has never been alone, he will need a family who can slowly acclimate him to being comfortable being home alone. Ringo is such a fun pup, and he can't wait to become your new best friend. If he sounds like the puppy for you, submit an application today!   Ringo's adoption fee is $350.   Apply to adopt here!  https://form.jotform.com/52017002013129/   Applications are also available on the website (www.yolospca.org)  It can take up to 3-5 business days to hear back once you have submitted an application. The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes. Our adoption fees help us cover the cost of spay/neuter surgery, microchip and registration, and rabies vaccination (if over 4 months of age at intake or spay/neuter) for all animals. Dogs are tested for heartworm, started on preventatives, and given a DAPP vaccination. Adult dogs are up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption. Puppies will be current on the vaccinations appropriate to their age. The adopter is responsible for additional vaccinations as necessary after the adoption. For more information about an animal, please email dogs@yolospca.org. For more general questions, please see our website at www.yolospca.org. September 17, 2025, 4:08 am

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Ringo, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
