My story

LOCATED IN PUEBLO ***Staff thinks I will be ready by Late September/ Early October. My foster family says Meet Cornflower, a striking black and white kitten with a delicate thin stripe down his nose, a small white bib, and crisp white feet that make him look extra dashing. This lively little guy adores scritches and pets, but his adventurous spirit usually leads him to explore and romp with his siblings first. Curious and full of energy, Cornflower throws himself into playtime with enthusiasm, chasing, pouncing, and discovering every corner. Once he’s had his fill of fun, though, he’s quick to settle down, happily crawling onto your legs to stretch out and rest. Equal parts playful explorer and sweet companion, Cornflower is a kitten who brings both joy and warmth wherever he goes. You can sign up to pre-adopt me by placing a $50 choice hold. This is a non-refundable fee that does not go towards my adoption fee, but it does give you the first opportunity to adopt me. Shelter staff will contact you when I’m ready to go home with my new family! To place a choice hold, you can either come into the shelter or call us at 719-473-1741; you may wait to speak with a customer service representative or leave a voicemail. Choice holds are placed on a first-come, first-serve basis and only one choice hold can be placed on an animal. Once I am old enough to go home, I will have to be adopted at the shelter without a visit. Unfortunately, we aren’t able to visit while I’m in the foster home as it’s a lot of stress on me to be transported back and forth to the shelter for visits, which makes me more susceptible to getting sick. We want to be healthy for our new life together!
