Very Berry Strawberry

My story

A volunteer writes:A little tabby girl was sitting by her door. I thought she was a kitten as she was so small... Very Berry Strawberry was a bit shy, going in and out her house as I opened her door...In the end, treats and curiosity won her over and she stayed close to me for petting. Very Berry Strawberry is a delicious tiny kitty who was found in a park by a Good Samaritan. She was flanked by four neonates(too young to be presently adopted) who were not hers...The little family is safe with us now but adorable Very Berry Strawberry still needs to find her forever home. So, when you visit us at the Manhattan Care Center, ask to meet Very Berry Strawberry, play with her and take her home.What my friends at ACC say about me:My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!It is unknown if I have ever lived with other animals or children.I'm sensitive and shy. I'll need extra help from you.Very Berry Strawberry is a very sweet and slightly shy cat who was in the den but came halfway out when offered treats and enjoyed petting, leaning in nicely for cheek rubs. She didn't eat the treats, but she's very sweet. When another person opened the door of the room, she retreated into the den where she remained. Pick-up could not be attempted due to her being in the den.Very Berry Strawberry interacts with the observer, solicits & appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for cat parents with either an average amount of cat experience or demonstrate a basic understanding of typical cat behavior.
