My story

Meet Onyx — The Gentle Purring Machine The Gemstones were once tiny orphaned babies, dropped at a rural shelter and placed on the euthanasia list through no fault of their own. But fate had bigger plans — they were rescued just in time, hand-raised with love, and have grown into the sweetest, happiest, most affectionate kittens you could ever meet. Onyx, with his silky grey tuxedo coat, may be Topaz’s twin in looks, but he’s carved out a personality all his own. A little shy at first, Onyx takes his time to warm up — but once he feels safe, he blossoms into a total cuddle monster, happiest when curled up in your arms or in a cuddle puddle with his siblings. This gentle boy has a playful streak too. He goes absolutely wild for catnip, loves lounging in hammocks, and can’t resist batting around fluffy toy balls. Onyx is also surprisingly photogenic — he seems to know exactly how to pose for the camera, always ready for his close-up. When he’s not modeling or playing, he enjoys watching “kitty TV,” observing the world with wide, thoughtful eyes. Onyx is estimated to be 3 mo old as of Sep 2025 and fully vetted: neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, defleaed, and microchipped. He tested negative for FIV and FeLV. Onyx is a kitten and must be adopted with one of his siblings (The Gemstones), foster friends or into a home with another young or playful cat for companionship.
