Sweet girl Roobee was almost euthanized at the shelter because of lack of space, when she was rescued by her foster mom. Roobee lives with four dogs and two cats. She is good with dogs but not a fan of her kittie friends. She walks well on leash, except when she sees.a squirrel of course. She is very smart and learns very fast. Roobee loves getting petted. She is very affectionate and can live with or without other dogs, as she is velcro. She is a German. shepherd mix, so shepherd experience is highly recommended. Roobee is about 5 years old, 65 lb, fully vetted, current on vaccination, and is spayed and microchipped. She is heartworm negative and kept on heartworm and flea preventatives. Roobee is currently being fostered in Houston, but can travel to any state, even Canada to the right home. To meet this sweet pup via facetime or whatsapp or in person, please send an application available at www.savesomesouls.com Yards must be fully and adequately fenced in order to adopt our dogs. We do not accept underground or invisible fences. Our dogs are fully assessed by foster parents, vets and behaviorists, as well as videos and video chats are available to observe their manners in public. We are extremely transparent and like to share everything negative and positive with the adopters, to ensure it's a good fit and they are not returned to us, as the trips are very stressful on them. If, after meeting a pup, the foster parent or the adoption applicant do not feel they are a good fit for each other, we often offer other pups who are better fit. Houston is home to million strays, many who are abandoned, many born on the streets, many who escaped while living in the yard, which is common in Texas. Since our rescue does not get grants that shelters get, we use adoption fee to help the pups and kitties in our care. Your adoption fee goes towards vetting and feeding our long term and permanent fosters, and unadoptable pups, as well as towards the monthly care and preventatives etc of our pets. By adopting one pup from our rescue, you make room for another dog to be rescued from our high kill shelter, thus becoming an integral part of our mission to save as many unfortunate dogs off the streets and shelters as possible. So Thank You for choosing to rescue, and not go to a breeder.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Roobie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
