My story

Gala started life in a world no kitten should ever know. It was one of uncertainty and danger. She and her young mother, Granny Smith, were discovered in mid-June by police, huddled together with two other mother cats and their litters. Police believe they were abandoned and left behind to fend for themselves. In total, 12 cats and kittens were rescued from the park that day. And while their beginning was heartbreaking, it was also the start of a new chapter filled with safety, care and the hope of forever homes. Among them, Gala and Granny Smith have stayed especially close. Their bond, formed through hardship, is unbreakable. Gala continues to look to her mama for comfort and reassurance and Granny Smith remains a constant source of gentle love and quiet strength. Because of this beautiful connection, Gala and Granny Smith must be adopted together. They are not just family. They are one another’s world. Gala at a Glance: * Female kitten – Curious, gentle and learning to trust * Bonded with her mom, Granny Smith (adoption together is required) * Born outdoors, rescued with 11 others from a park * Needs a patient, loving home to continue blooming in safety Gala may be a bit shy at first, but with time and kindness, she’ll show her sweet spirit. Her journey so far has been shaped by survival, but her future can be shaped by you. The shelter is open Tuesdays through Fridays 3:30-6:30pm AND Saturdays & Sundays 1pm-4pm. No appointments are needed during those times.
