My story

    Hi there, I’m Kenny Caine! I’m a 3-year-old Miniature Schnauzer/Havamalt mix with a soft, fluffy white coat, and at 19 pounds I’m just the right size, big enough to keep up on adventures, but small enough to snuggle close on the couch. I grew up in a very loving home with dogs just like me. But when my family faced illness and hard times, they asked for help, and that’s how I ended up here, safe and cared for, while I wait for my new forever family. I’ll let you in on a secret: I’m an affectionate guy who loves being close. If you’re relaxing on the couch, I’ll hop up and perch right by your head like I’m watching TV with you. And if our eyes meet, well, get ready for some wet kisses! I also love chewing on bones and toys, it keeps me happy and entertained. I’m crate-trained and sleep in my crate at night. I might bark a little when I go in or come out, but once I’ve stretched my legs in a fenced yard and had a chance to run around, I settle down just fine. Because of my mix, Mini Schnauzer, Havanese, and Maltese, I don’t shed much, which is great if you have mild allergies (though I do need regular grooming to keep me looking sharp). Like most Schnauzers, I do have a big voice for my size, so an apartment with close neighbors may not be the best fit for me. My dream home? A family that’s home a lot, with a fenced yard where I can play. Older, dog-savvy kids would be great too! I’m neutered, vaccinated, adorable (obviously), and ready for my next adventure with you.
