My story

Meet Dante! Dante is a 3-year-old, 85-pound bundle of love—a true gentle giant! This handsome boy is great with kids and does well with friendly large dogs, but he’s not a fan of small animals (especially lizards and rabbits 😉) or cats. Dante is a sweetheart through and through. He loves water 💦 and nothing makes him happier than splashing around in a kiddie pool on a warm day. In fact, we’d love for his new family to continue giving him this joy! He also enjoys patrolling the backyard, chasing after lizards, and playing with a stuffed toy or ball. His previous owner loved him dearly but could no longer care for him, and that love shows in how well-mannered he is. Dante keeps a tidy bed and space, isn’t used to a crate, and adores head scratches and brushing sessions.
