My story

Meet Roxy! This stunning 2-year-old Saint Bernard/Husky mix has crystal blue eyes, soft brown floppy ears, and an endearing smile that will melt your heart. At 81 lbs, she’s a big, beautiful girl with an even bigger personality! Roxy is full of energy and loves to play—she definitely has the drive and spirit of her Husky side. She’s happiest on adventures, car rides, or grabbing ice cream with her favorite humans. Despite her size, she still believes she’s a lap dog and loves to snuggle close. Her fosters have already given her a great start—she’s been spayed and had a preventive gastropexy surgery, which means she’s protected from bloat (a life-threatening condition that can affect extra-large dogs). Roxy does well with other dogs, though she has shown food aggression with them in the past. She currently shares a home peacefully with her foster’s mastiff, so with training and the right environment this is something that can be managed. Importantly, she has no food aggression toward humans. Roxy would do best in a home without cats, as she can be too rough with them. Because of her size, energy, and history, she needs an adopter with large-dog experience—ideally someone familiar with Huskies—who can provide the structure, activity, and love she craves.
