My story

Cher is a striking cat with a big personality and an independent streak. She’s had a tough time adjusting to her current environment, and her guardian has made the incredibly difficult decision to find her a home that better suits her needs. Cher thrives in a low-stress, animal-free environment where she can feel safe, respected, and in control of her space. She’s been sensitive to handling and change, and when overwhelmed, she can struggle. Her previous home—with other small pets and activity—has proven to be a bit too much for her comfort, and it’s caused her anxiety to show through in ways she can’t quite control. This girl will do best with a patient, cat-savvy adopter who understands that some animals need extra time, space, and understanding. With the right environment, there’s hope she’ll blossom into the confident companion we know she can be. If you’re experienced with more sensitive or independent cats and have a calm home to offer, Cher just might be the unique companion you’ve been looking for. Cher is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, routinely treated for fleas and worms, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV and heartworm. Her estimated DOB is 10/26/2021. NOTE: Kittens under 4 months cannot be adopted as a single kitten unless there is already another cat in the home.
