My story

Meet Samsung !! He’s the last puppy left and looking for a great home. Sweet fun boy!! READ THE ENTIRE POST BEFORE REACHING OUT TO US. We know he is beyond adorable but this breed is not for most people. Samsung is currently 15 weeks old. He weighed 14 pounds at his last vet visit. He is supposed to be pure Husky. (Please understand there is a difference between purebred and well bred.) He will all be given several sets of vaccines, deworming, a microchip and neuter as part of his adoption. This beautiful blue eyed boy is shy but opens up especially with other dogs. He loves walks, balls and sticks. He can be stubborn as husky’s are, but melts into you for cuddles when picked up. He also loves water. Samsung loves other dogs and loves kids. He has been very playful and sweet with kids and dogs. He has not yet met any cats but may be young enough to learn. This breed can have a high prey drive and not always work well with cats. He can be shy with people at first but that fades quickly. He is very open to meeting dogs of all kinds and sizes. Once comfortable he is very playful and fun. He is doing really well with training for his age. He’s good on car rides. He is still working on leash training. He’s doing well with potty training when taken out regularly. He is crate trained but can be very vocal at times. Typical to his breed he loves to “talk” Samsung has not had any trouble sharing food treats and toys. He shares well with all other dogs and people. Given the breed, these puppies are going to need a lot of exercise and mental playtime. Lots and lots of toys, games, walks, runs, fetch and anything active to keep them busy. If you are not prepared to offer this to your new pup several times a day, EVERY DAY, then please adopt a different dog with a lower level of energy. They may stay this energetic throughout their life. Read up on the breed prior to applying. ➡️➡️Some issues with Husky’s you should consider! ♦️ENDLESS ENERGY! The Husky breed has so much energy. You need to exercise them both physically and mentally multiple times a day, every single day. If you are not an extremely active person and you’re not home often then they will be very unhappy. ♦️VOCAL! Huskys are loud. They bark, howl and “talk” all the time. This is absolutely not an apartment or condo dog. ♦️ESCAPE ARTIST! The husky breed is notorious for going over and under fencing if they get bored. You must have a 5ft or higher fenced in yard and they can NOT be left outside alone. They will get bored and escape. ♦️Please do not get a husky and think you will be able to change their core genetic behaviors. They are going to be active, vocal and escape if not properly watched for life. These things rarely change for this breed despite age or training. (Proper obedience work and keeping up with physical and mental exercise will help tone down these behaviors, but won’t eliminate them.) Samsung has a ton of potential for the right family. Beautiful, smart, eager to learn and extremely sweet. With the proper structure and training he can be an amazing dog! Adopting a young puppy is a ton of work. They will have lots of potty accidents, chew things up etc. You will need to help them learn things like leash walking, crate training and basic manners. It can be a lot of work but the reward is a dog that fits well into your family’s lifestyle if you invest proper time on training with them. Please carefully consider the time and effort a puppy requires before adopting. Home and vet checks required. ♦️5ft or higher fenced yard required ♦️No apartments or condos ♦️‼️NO EXCEPTIONS‼️♦️ Located in Hampton VA. (He will need to be adopted within a 1 hour drive radius) ‼️Please message VillageDogResource@gmail.com or message our Facebook Page directly with questions or to get an application ‼️

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Samsung, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
