Despite facing a tough start—abandoned after giving birth and left to fend for herself—Merrie never lost her gentle spirit. She bravely sought help, crying at strangers’ doors until someone kind finally answered. Merrie’s past hasn’t hardened her; instead, it’s made her even sweeter. She adores gentle affection and will reward kindness with soft purrs and loving nuzzles. Her sleek black coat and bright eyes make her a true beauty, but it’s her affectionate nature that will truly win hearts. Merrie gets along well with other cats and would thrive in a calm, cat-friendly home. She’s looking for a family without dogs or young children, where she can feel safe and cherished. I am not currently able to adopt to anyone living more than 1 hour outside of Rochester, NY. 2) I require a vet reference and will contact them. 3) Most of the cats in my care come from the streets and have had a bad start in life. They usually would do best in a home with older children and NO dogs. 4) All the cats/kittens that are up for adoption will be spayed/neutered, have age appropriate vaccinations, combo tested and treated for fleas and worms. 5) An approved application is necessary prior to a meet and greet,
