My story

Momma Kitty won me over from the start with her sweet personality. When she was an outdoor cat, being cared for by my neighbor, she would always accompany me and my dog on our daily neighborhood walks, running alongside us the entire way. She is vocal when she wants to communicate with you but not excessively so. She's a smaller, slim, athletic cat and likes to climb up to high locations. And though she has said farewell to the outdoor life she previously led, she still loves to look outside. And one of her favorite things to do is sit on a window sill, with the window open (a screen is a must). Her personality is that of an 'alpha' cat. However, she is living very peacefully with my resident, elderly alpha cat. To her credit, Momma Kitty recognizes her position in the home as the #2 cat. She is friendly with my dog. She loves to play chase with my younger cat. And she's fascinated by my pet doves, which are always safe from her curiosity inside their cage. Momma Kitty came to my attention a year ago, when she appeared in my neighbor’s yard with her kittens. I took them into my home and had each spayed (all girls!) and vaccinated. Following recovery from her spay surgery, Momma Kitty went to my neighbor who cared for her as an outdoor cat (circumstances prevented her from allowing Momma Kitty inside her home). This worked fine for a while. Though she soon began to go missing for a week or more at a time, returning each time a bit skinnier than when she’d left. A few months ago, she returned from her roaming with an injury, which required vet care and antibiotics.  Following treatment, she recovered quickly because I chose to keep her inside my home vs. letting her back outside. My neighbor believes it’s now time for Momma Kitty to find a permanent, indoor home. And after observing her in my home over the past few months, I can see that she is enjoying life indoors. While I would love to keep her, I already have several pets in my small home. I'm seeking an indoor home for Momma Kitty. And because she can occasionally get a little 'spicy' (something I believe will happen less frequently over time), she is not a candidate for a home with small children. No special health needs. Momma Kitty is very easy to care for. Below are her medical details and other helpful information. - About 1.5 - 2 years old - Litterbox trained - Easy to pick up - Gets along with my dog (miniature poodle) - Gets along with my other cats (one young and one old) - Spayed - Vaccinated (FVRCP) - Vaccinated (rabies) - Tested negative for FeLV / FIV / heartworm - Enjoys being pet and is affectionate but can occasionally get a little ‘spicy’. Need to watch for signs of over stimulation (not suitable for a home with small children). - Microchipped - Weighs 7.5 pounds - Lots of personality :) Momma Kitty is currently living in Redwood City, CA 94061 More information & application [ts=1757257386&src=aap]
