My story

Introducing this handsome gentleman we have named Dean! He was on an adventure on 8/27 and got lost along the way. Sadly, no one has come to reclaim him. Dean is 2 years old and weighs 17 pounds. The volunteers describe him as too cute and super duper sweet. He knows to sit when asked for treats. So please make sure you have plenty of those on hand! Dean is ready to be taken care of. Sadly, he is heart worm positive. Would you be a hero for this sweet little guy? Ask about foster-to-adopt, so he can be treated for heartworms at your home (the shelter will do the treatment). Ask for ID# 13207 in Run 322. He is neutered and will be micro-chipped upon adoption. With treatment, dogs who test positive for heartworms usually go on to live long and healthy lives. When choosing a forever pup, please make sure you have the space, time, energy, devotion, love, and lifestyle to ensure that Dean has the best upbringing possible. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heart worm or combo test and a microchip.
