My story

What my friends at ACC say about me:I am a cat that is in need of a lap! I can't wait to be your new lap cat.I'll need daily interaction with you as I get used to my new life.I will need appropriate toys and positive outlets for my energy.I am finding the shelter a little overwhelming, but when it's just you and me and some peace and quiet you'll see what a love bug I am.I am looking for a home with a patient person.I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.I'm sensitive and shy. I'll need extra help from you.I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them.A volunteer writes: If your kind of cat is a brassy lady with a big personality, then Kitty Bear might be your perfect match. Brought the the Care Center because her former family was moving, this gorgeous brown tabby is friendly, talkative, and affectionate, her previous people told us. Her favorite things to do include roaming around the house, playing gently, and chasing toys, they added, and she's a huge fan of Greenies (tuna, chicken, it's all good!). At the Care Center she allowed staffers to pick her up and treat her to pettings, but she also seems a little stressed and conflicted, which is understandable. What Kitty Bear needs is a new forever family that will appreciate her funny ways, her sometimes independence, and keep that food bowl filled. Meet Ms. Kitty Bear on 110th Street today!
